The daughter of St Mary’s Old boy Tom Brady who died in 2021 is embarking on a charity run in his memory.
Louise Brady will be running 13.1 miles in honour of Tom, a fine sportsman, who attended St Mary’s between 1972 and 1979.
Tom suffered from multiple sclerosis and Louise will be raising funds for the charity.

” On the 7th April 2024 I will be running 13 (.1) miles on behalf of the MS Trust. As you may or may not know, the MS Trust is a charity close to my heart. My amazing Dad was an MS sufferer, and he lost his fight in May 2021. Dad was always so encouraging and interested in my fitness regimes (even when he was laughing at me doing ‘weird’ exercises in the garden in lockdown). I last ran for the MS Trust in a London 10K race back in 2013, and he was with me cheering me on. I know he is cheering me on for this one too.
Any donations would be gratefully received. Dad never complained about his MS, but he was a keen supporter of the MS Trust’s work and for them to continue to be able to support others living with MS.

Bexley Nomads was a team formed in 1978 by boys who joined in 1972 to keep in touch after leaving school.

I remeber Tom Brady very clearly – a great rugby player and a grand lad. His Dad was always a keen supporter of SMGS rugby.

Gentleman between Andy Crawford and David Lewis is David Covill – not sure who is between David L and Michael Hawkins??
Your Dad has his rugby colours on show (as does David L). David led the 2nd XV so it must be from the summer term of 1980? The missing fella was from the A’s ? (unless he was a teacher??) as I was an alpha and cannot remember all the names of the A’s.
Your dad would have loved the get together in 2022 and was missed.
