Peet brothers confirmed for launch

Apparently the ‘King Charles I’ hairstyle was popular at this time and a few lads here are sporting it. Steve Peet, who is seated fifth from left, will be at the book launch with brothers Sean and Frank on 1 October.

The popular Peet brothers – who all started at St Mary’s during the 1960s – have confirmed they will be at the launch of We Did Our Homework on the Bus on Saturday 1 October.

Sean, Frank and Steve, originally from Crayford, who started in 1963, 1966 and 1968 respectively, can be added to the fast-growing list of attendees which will see old boys from between 1947 and 1980 attending the site of the old Grammar school on Chislehurst Road.

All three were fine sportsmen with Steve a particularly outstanding, all-action hooker who won county and London honours and was unlucky not to have represented England at schoolboy level.

The launch is shaping up to be quite an occasion. Such is the interest in the event that I’ve invited a small committee of old boys to work with myself on a committee to ensure the occasion is a success.

Keep watching this space and your inbox for details of both the book and the launch.

will be great to see Steve Pete at the launch as a co-A-classmate
