A hard fought Quiz

A group of old boys of St Mary’s and St Mary and St Joseph’s did the school proud when they won a hard-fought quiz at The Bull’s Head in Chislehurst. A team which spanned the decades – and included one half-decent, non St Mary’s ‘ringer’ – won the quiz on a tiebreaker. The quiz was hosted by ITV cycling correspondent and Tour De France guru Ned Boulting and organised by Simon Moore, son of the great Brian Moore, who he got to know well through writing the book ‘Brian Moore Saved Our Sundays.’ The winning team below shows, left to right, standing to attention Simon Boggy Burton (1980 starter), peering through the gap Phil Mackie (1963), with the trophy Matt Eastley (1977), Ned Boulting, Simon Moore, Mark ‘Lamp Post’ Stevens (1971), Paul Geradine (1971) and, our ringer, Kevin Smith. The quiz raised money for Threshers Day Nursery in St Mary Cray.
