Mike Efrussy 1965 to 1972

Mike Efrussy, from Blackfen, arrived at St Mary’s in 1965 after attending Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School. He was assigned to One Alpha and Becket House and played as a loose head prop in the rugby team all the way from the U12s to the 1st XV. After gaining ten O-Levels and A-Levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, Mike left St Mary’s in 1972. He then studied Chemistry at King’s College, London, graduating in 1975.

After a variety of jobs and some foreign travel, Mike joined the brewing industry in 1979 where he remained until taking early retirement in 2009.

Married with two grown-up children he lives in Sidcup and his interests include motorbike riding, tending his allotment and watching his grandchildren grow up.

Hi Michael…… In was in the Alphas with you from 1965 until we left in 1972. I was in More house myself but was the kid after you on the daily roll call.
Easterbrook, Efrussy, Farrow…….
Perhaps you will remember me better as “Damsywamsy” (give us a smile).
Life has been quite varied for me and taken me to foreign places,. Some more exotic than others. I have been living in France since 2003.
If you see this and see fit I’m always up for a beer when I’m over in the UK.
Cheers, Damian
